Ingredients:

  • 500g of chicken breast
  • 100g of cornstarch
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of onion powder
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 60ml of dairy-free mayonnaise
  • 30ml of sweet chili sauce
  • 10ml of sriracha sauce
  • 5g of green onions (for garnish)

  • Mixing bowl

  • Baking sheet

  • Cutting board

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  • In a mixing bowl, coat the seasoned chicken pieces with cornstarch until fully covered.
  • Shake off the excess cornstarch and place the coated chicken on a baking sheet.
  • Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  • While the chicken is baking, prepare the bang bang sauce by whisking together dairy-free mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha in a separate bowl until smooth.
  • Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and immediately toss it in the bang bang sauce until well coated.
  • Transfer the bang bang chicken to a serving platter and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
